Thought you’d seen it all?
Last week, KFC launched an experiential campaign developed by Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong. In partnership with the food technologists at McCormick, the company responsible for creating KFC’s secret recipe, the agency concocted an edible nail polish formulated from natural ingredients based on two of the restaurant’s prized flavors: Original and Hot & Spicy. Why? Allegedly an attempt to boost brand recognition in Asia. The polishes harden like any other nail polish would, but can be “lick[ed] – again and again and again,” KFC explained. It’s not available for purchase just yet but customers can cast a vote for which flavor they’d like to see make it into production on the KFC Hong Kong Facebook page.
